A member of the Republican Party, Forlini previously served as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives from 2011 through 2016, and as the supervisor of Harrison Township, Michigan from 2004 to 2011. He is currently the Republican nominee for the 2026 Michigan Secretary of State election.
